PVC-U Chemical Pipe

Description:

PVC-U chemical pipe (i.e. rigid polyvinyl chloride chemical pipe) has the following advantages:

Strong corrosion resistance

PVC-U pipes can withstand corrosion from a variety of acids, alkalis and salt chemicals and are suitable for environments where corrosive media are transported.

Low fluid resistance

Its inner wall is smooth, with a roughness coefficient of only 0.009. Compared with other pipes (such as cast iron pipes 0.013 and concrete pipes 0.014), it has smaller fluid resistance, which can reduce the pipe diameter and energy consumption.

High mechanical strength

It has excellent resistance to water pressure, external pressure and impact strength, and is suitable for complex terrain or high-pressure working conditions.

Easy installation

Adhesive or mechanical connection methods are fast and low-cost to construct, but require specialized tools and skills.

Long service life

Under normal use conditions, the service life can reach more than 50 years with low maintenance cost.

15.2.PPH chemical pipe

PPH chemical pipe (β-crystalline polypropylene pipe) has the following core advantages:

Chemical resistance

It can withstand strong acid and alkali environments with a pH value of 1-14, including high-concentration corrosive media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and sodium hydroxide. Experiments show that it can operate continuously for 5 years in 30% hydrochloric acid solution without corrosion perforation.

High temperature resistance

The operating temperature range is -20℃ to 110℃, and it can withstand high temperatures of 120℃ for a short period of time. In a petrochemical enterprises 105℃ process medium transportation scenario, the three-year operating attenuation rate was only 5%.

Pressure resistance

According to ISO 15874 standard, the compressive strength reaches 10MPa, which is 40% higher than that of traditional PP pipes, and it did not deform in the 4.0MPa water pressure test.

At low temperatures (-20°C), the Charpy impact strength remains at 4.0 kJ/m², a 300% improvement over traditional PP pipes. It also passed the free-fall impact test with a 2kg hammer from a height of 2m during winter drug delivery at 105°C in a northern pharmaceutical factory.

Long-term stability

The underground buried service life can reach 50 years. It is anti-aging and anti-ultraviolet. In a certain project, the inner wall still remains smooth and free of scale after 5 years of use.

Lightweight and easy to install

The weight is only 1/8 of that of a metal pipe, the flow resistance is small, the flow rate is larger under the same diameter, and the transportation and installation costs are significantly reduced.

The underground installation has a service life of up to 50 years, resisting aging and UV rays. After being installed for 5 years in a certain project, it still maintains a smooth inner wall without scale buildup.

Lightweight and easy to install

With a weight only 1/8 of that of a metal pipe, it boasts low flow resistance and higher flow rate for the same diameter, significantly reducing handling and installation costs.
